LRSU uses campaigns to promote the work of the education team, motorcycle unit and the London Safety Camera Partnership.
These teams work closely with colleagues in Transport for London's market planning department.
Market planning have expert knowledge in the areas of marketing and campaigns and have helped LRSU to produce many award-winning multimedia campaigns.
Market planning also communicate internally with other departments within TfL and the Department for Transport (DfT).
The DfT runs its own road safety campaigns and through working together, LRSU and the DfT hope to maximise the impact and benefits of campaigns.
LRSU also works directly with London boroughs and the emergency services on promotional campaigns and although these are often not as high profile as multimedia campaigns, they can have a huge impact at a local level.
LRSU, borough road safety units and the emergency services use promotional material to engage with Londoners at community events, or in areas where specific road safety issues exist.
